Spring is a Wonderful Time to Try Something New and Revisit Hobbies

It's spring, and like many others, I have plans for this time of year. I want to cook, brighten my yard with new flowering plants, try a new cleaning product, and a bunch of other things.
So far, I’ve tried my hand at making sourdough bread. My first attempt was a success! My son said it was delicious, and he’s waiting for the next loaf. Watch my Facebook page for my next sourdough creation. With a little encouragement from social media, I'm considering a garlic pull-apart bread.
My flower bed didn’t survive last year’s drought. I’ll bring it back to life by replanting plants that will entice butterflies and hummingbirds into my backyard. I can’t wait to sit and watch them dine on the delicious treats I plant for them. The Monarchs have already laid eggs on the Butterfly Weed, and the caterpillars are munching away. I’ve visited a local nursery to buy more. The hummingbirds will be happy when the Salvia blooms.
I’ve saved cleaning for last. It’s not my favorite thing to do. I bought a new hand-held steamer. According to those social media influencers, I will love using it.
This time of year can also make me anxious. I work full time and hope to publish my first book soon. I want to do so much, but I might not have time to make all my plans happen. I will do what I can and enjoy my accomplishments.
If you want to try something new this spring, take a walk outside, look around your house, or browse online. You can find inspiration anywhere.

I'm a wife, mother, author, and teacher who enjoys creating colorful flower beds.  I don’t know anything about the science behind gardening, but know I like the beauty and relaxation flowers bring to my life.  I especially like flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds.  Unfortunately, I've let the beauty that once lived in my yards go, and my beds need revitalizing.  I plan to divide a fifty dolor a month budget into two projects.  I will do my best to have money left over.  A maximum of Twenty-five dollars will be used on a project that will highlight a plant.  The second twenty-five dollars will be spent on a garden craft.  My goal is to create a relaxing environment that enhances my creativity.
